    FINANCIAL RELIEF REQUEST FORM

    PHASE II    ELIGIBILITY FOR GRANTS
    Please understand before submitting

Yellowstone Community Fund (YCF) grants are available to help individuals and businesses.  Requests for grants must be made through the website YellowstoneCommunityFund.org.   Those who cannot complete a fund application on the Internet may apply in writing to P.O. Box 989, Gardiner, MT 59030 or call (769) 759-0305  for help in the application process.

Grants are available only for the region south from Yankee Jim Canyon to Colter Pass and including Gardiner, Mammoth, Silver Gate, Cooke City and Colter Pass.  This area is referred to as Upper Yellowstone.
AVAILABLE FUNDS:      Yellowstone Community Fund funds are available to help those that are still and currently impacted by the June 13, 2022 flood causing difficulty paying for current expenses.  YCF does not compensate for lost wages, salary or revenue, only current expenses.
Grants for individuals are available on a recurring basis but grants to businesses are currently one-time only.
    REQUIREMENTS:
Residency:  Applicants, whether individuals or business owners, must be year round Park County residents of the Upper Yellowstone.  Applicants who travel from outside our funding area must receive a substantial portion of their income from their work in the towns of the Upper Yellowstone.
Proof of residency and working in Upper Yellowstone may be required.  Proof may be a photocopy of a passport, driver’s license, Montana Identification Card or similar official document showing a residency address in Upper Yellowstone.  Other identification cards may be accepted.  Renters may be asked to submit a letter from their landlord including the landlord’s phone number.
Age:  Applicants must be 18 years of age and not supported by their family.
Individual or Business Application:  An individual may submit as an individual and as a business but the same expenses may not be listed on both applications.
Expense listing:  Expenses must be listed for one month only.  The exact amount of expenses is used to determine the category of need.  The grant amount may not cover all expenses listed.  Resident vacation rental owners as an individual, can list expenses ONLY for the primary residence.  A separate business application can be submitted listing other expenses for a business.
Families:  If more than one person in the family experienced financial losses due to the flood then each person with losses may submit an application.
Married spouses, couples or roommates:  Where more than one person is residing in the same residency, they must disclose whether another person is applying for funds by listing the other person's name on their application.
Joint expenses must be provided in two lists: INDIVIDUAL such as dental and medical, and JOINT such as house rent and utilities.  If only one member’s employment was affected by the flood, then only one application may be submitted.
Proof of Flood Impact:  A statement of flood impact is required.  The statement must describe how the individual or business is currently and directly impacted by the flood.  Do not describe flood impacts to the community, only direct impacts to the individual or business applying.
Application Timing:  Individual applicants may only apply once per calendar month.  Business grants are one time only.
Current Financial Support:  Applicants must list the number of hours they are working, if there is a reduction in the amount of pay per hour, and whether they are receiving other financial support, such as unemployment, food support or rental.
Crisis Funding:  Funds are available for unexpected crises, time critical matters and special needs.  Submit specific details of the crisis and proof may be required.
Difficulty in Applying for funds:  Those who cannot complete a fund application on the Internet may apply in writing to P.O. Box 989, Gardiner, MT 59030 or call (769) 759-0305  for help in the application process.

Help with Questions:  If you have any questions, please call (769) 759-0305.
    Please check one.
The US Post Office does not deliver mail within our towns, so YCF must have a PO Box to send a check.
