The Yellowstone Community fund is a volunteer-led and registered 501(c)3, non-profit in Gardiner, Montana. YCF has provided 10's of thousands of dollars starting with the Federal layoff when the Park was shutdown in 2018. Funds were distributed to people and businesses in need of help. Following the disastrous Gardiner fire of 2020, YCF provided substantial help to fire victims and businesses and continues to aid these community members. YCF works hand-in-hand with the Gardiner Chamber of Commerce to accept donations and disperse funds where needed. Donations may be sent as checks to Yellowstone Community Fund, in care of Jim Halfpenny, PO Box 989, Gardiner, MT 59030 or dropped off at the Chamber. Donations may also be made electronically at YellowstoneCommunityFund.org.
As with the 2020 fire fund dispersal, YCF will first concentrate on individual needs; then business needs, if there is adequate funding. Funds for individuals include medicine, gas for medical trips, groceries, utilities, child care, but are not limited to these items. Applications for funding will be accepted starting Monday June 20, 2022 on the Gardiner Facebook page, at YellowstoneCommunityFund. org, or by personal letter to Jim Halfpenny.
